HATE only makes me appreciate the love.

Because conversations became texting, arguments became phone calls, feelings became subliminal messages online, sex became easy, the word “love” gets used out of context, insecurities have become your way of thinking, getting jealous became a habit, trust has been lost, cheating became an accident, leaving became the only option & being hurt became natural.

To love is to risk pain – that is what society tells us, that is what everyone advises us when we get into a relationship. Is it like loving at your own risk? That can’t be. It should not always be like that. Why should we take risk? How come there is pain when in fact it is love? And what is the definition of pain in love?
I believe that healthy relationships need not to risk pain. There may be little misunderstandings, but not to the point of suffering too much from heartbreak. What I see wrong in some relationships why they fail to work out is the presence of little “self-centeredness.” I don’t know but that “little” selfishness does big things. Third parties, dishonesties, unfaithfulness and all the like come in here.

Let’s see what this “self-centeredness” has to cater for us.

Selfishness is thinking about your own. It’s “ME” time as defined. You may care about your partner, yes, but not enough to say that you really care for someone you are committed with. Once you are overwhelmed with this attitude, all the factors that may bring the relationship to a great failure may come in.

1.    DISHONESTY – Always remember that being trusted is a greater compliment than being loved. Once you lie, you cheat - not just to your partner, but to yourself as well. Just think about how much can you tolerate the foolishness when you lie? I believe that when you are dishonest, you are weak. Mean everything you do and say it when you know that it is true.

2.    THIRD PARTY – I guess, this is the most tempting crime. A lot of people get involved with this. They may have several reasons why they meddle with somebody else’s relationship, but still it is not right. Consciously or unconsciously, we are giving the caress to somebody else instead of rendering it to our partners.

Well I suppose dishonesty captures everything. It all starts with white lies, and everything grows. Third party has the unfaithfulness, infidelity, betrayal and all the other “deceitful” things you can do to your partner. Sum it up, and the root is “self-centeredness.”

I am not a pro when it comes to love talks, I am just bringing out what I think is the reason why heartbreaks exist. In order to avoid “risking pain in love” might as well be thoughtful enough. When you are in a relationship, you are not a single being anymore, you are two - brought together to be one. Give and take matters most.

One more point, the worst thing you can do to your partner aside from all these is when you hit her. That is just so unbecoming. And think about this, treat your partner as how you would want your Father treats your Mom.

“As with all politically lead governments, foreign investment is the slowest in the media section. Politicians are somewhat paranoid about the media but we still think it’s worthwhile.”—Rupert Murdoch

Oligarchy has spread its roots on almost all forms of media including paper and television. This has created an environment in which everyone is afraid of someone. Money controlling everything, time being manipulated by various variables in which human hands shouldn’t meddle, everything negative about politics, economy, health, civic welfare and the like are being hidden and shadowed by false proclamations of how we are steadily developing; I personally welcome you to the 20th century. The century of deception and manipulation, in which media is the hero and restrained by the chains of evil; Evil being composed of politics, economy, health, civic welfare, and the like.

In reliance with the quote stated above, ours is very underdeveloped and we are the perfect contender for everything it states. The only force that beckons with truth in our world is the media. Disagree? Well, even the church has its own issues, specifically here in the Philippines. How redundant is it that the Bishops; the role models of Christ himself, need SUVs to travel when in fact Jesus taught us to sacrifice and offer our pains to the Lord Almighty. How is sitting inside a Mitsubishi Montero offer graces and sacrifices to show hope and radiate faith for the people? The media is being concealed with threats and degradations to combat the exposing of truths and facts. In my opinion, this began during the Marcos presidential reign, Now, it has achieved its maturity in the Aquino Administration, wherein foreign analysts are even the ones opening the eyes of dumbfounded “Pinoys” who support everything the government dictates them. ABS-CBN network, the mainstream, stereotype, common, whatever you may call them, hosts most of the Filipino audience when it comes to viewing their TV shows. They are the most tuned upon station, in which a single news flash spreads as fast as nerve impulses when encountering pain and pleasure. They have this power of manipulation, as shown by their optimistic news every day, only to be contradicted by the newspaper and other rival stations. The Aquino Administration controls ABS-CBN. What seems to be broadcasted on channel 2; sometimes it’s too good to be true. They say that our economy is booming and foreign investors are once again gaining interest on investing in our prime businesses. But hasn’t anyone noticed that it is only channel 2 who shows these kinds of news? On GMA network, they focus on news that seems to be negative, but sadly, it is really the truth. In turn, most of us believe that we are really developing; leading to more indolence and sloth. These two are the main ingredients that make oligarchy happy. With our current media manipulation, the rich become richer and the poor become poorer.

Us stubborn Filipinos believe everything we see and everything the government tells us. The media is their megaphone, and we are to listen. Honestly speaking, Channel 2 isn’t bias. Nor does it support any firms. It has surpassed the level of being bias and inclinations. It is already owned by the oligarchs, powered by the government, notarized by prominent people in society, and fed to us gently like feeding a baby. What we do not know, we are being fed with lies and rotten things coated with candy sprinkles and whipped cream. Anything that is against the government will die in a subtle manner, especially the media. Now, what we have are evangelists who know the truth but cannot speak. If they are to speak, if they are to let everyone know, if they are to uncover the truth, bullets will meet them. This is how underdeveloped our media is. Not only in the sense of economic but, it already penetrated the manner of morale and justice.

abigaillx:

Usually last the longest.

Why do I say that? Because they both have their own opinion(s). The way they look at things, the way they understand each other, makes the relationship stronger. This may not be the case in every relationship, but if you know how to understand your partner, it’ll last. I prefer having a tough relationship instead of a ‘go with the flow’ relationship. Why? Because we’re not afraid of disagreeing with each other.

I second to that. :)

Isn’t it sweet?
